Cargill Lab Technician (2 year contract) in Şura Mică, Romania

Job Purpose and Impact

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for quality control of raw materials (micro and macro ingredients) and finished products (feed), monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points) and CPs (Control Points), taking samples analyzed by the internal laboratory and unannounced checks on the production flow. It will also implement and comply with the requirements specified in the internal quality manual, drawn up according to the current rules for food safety HACCP (hazard analysis critical control point).

Key Accountabilities

  • Verifies the quality of the raw materials received, the finished products and their storage

  • Responsible for the control at the reception, the acceptance of raw materials for production and the registration of the unique code to achieve transability

  • Sampling of all raw materials and manufactured/received finished products

  • Manages and responds directly to counter-evidence

  • Identifies and tracks raw materials and products throughout the production process

  • Performs laboratory analyses

  • Performs flow control and provides quality documents (when applicable)

  • Brings to the attention of his superior any kind of irregularity found in the scope of his service attributions and, depending on the situation proposes solutions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent (food industry / chemistry specialty is advantageous)

  • PC Knowledge (Word, Excel)

  • Ability to learn, positive attitude, integrity

  • Good communication skills, organization and planning, assertiveness, teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in a similar position (laboratory activity in food production or feed industry) min. 1 year

  • Medium level of English language
