Job Purpose and Impact

The Supplier Strategy Advisor will proactively manage Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) supplier strategy and plans, overseeing a highly complex plan to optimize function performance. In this role, you will connect the DT&D strategy and its core components (ex: long-term investment plan, application portfolio plan, workforce mix) to our sourcing strategy and in partnership with Cargill Strategic Sourcing & Procurement and oversee the commercial plans across a long-term roadmap. You will monitor the operational efficiency, effectiveness, and experience of the value stream connecting sourcing strategy to sourcing execution. You will draw on best practices and methods from the function and within the industry to exceed expectations for quality, efficiency, effectiveness and experience and responsiveness to continuously improve end to end processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and execute 3-5 year commercial plan for DT&D to proactively manage new/adhoc and planned commercial events

  • Serve as the escalation point for key stakeholders to resolve urgent operations issues of procure to pay and crisis management response and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.

  • Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to establish goals and ensure demand needs are incorporated into commercial plans.

  • Ensure both internal and external operations partners are delivering against targets and contractual obligations.

  • Lead strategy and planning for highly complex commercial strategies

  • Drive continuous improvement and process, data and system enhancements to mitigate risks, enhance experience, controls, reduce costs and improve efficiency.

  • Build an internal network to deliver optimal solutions such as leading collaboration across key internal stakeholders, defining long term strategy and anticipating challenges to ensure effective resolution of issues.

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Confirmed experience to leverage procurement and business systems to monitor business activities and influence decision making

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
