Position Summary

Considered experienced professionals in the CSSTNA inventory planning space. Responsible for all inventory planning activities at assigned CSSTNA warehouses and terminals. This includes: inventory planning, process development, planning & execution, collaboration with warehouse, operations, planning, transportation and cutomer service, and systems/data management, reporting & analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

70% INVENTORY EXECUTION

  • Monitor and execute shipment transactions to endure 100% on-time shipment and order fill rate.

  • Identify and address shipment issues

  • Work with CTL to execute shipments for on-time delivery

  • Develop strong working relationships with 3PL and stakeholders

  • Help hold warehouse accountable at defined service levels

20% INVENTORY PLANNING

  • With some direction, maintains data relevant to inventory planning activities including capacity, constraint, logistics, supplier, master and location data.

  • With some oversight, create orders for network distribution moves and communicate to logistics for execution

  • With minimal guidance, manage inventory levels to expected volume and working capital levels and provide solutions when business parameters change requiring a change to inventory expectations

  • Implement and maintain inventory strategies. Review customer demand and production schedules to proactively report product availability issues.

  • With minimal oversight, conduct and document monthly inventory reconciliation . Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

  • Execute Stock Health Management plan

  • Provides input and executes distribution strategy

10% BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT/METRICS

  • Provides input in setting Inventory Planning metrics targets

  • Analyze actual measure vs. target measures for assigned product(s) or locations

  • Provides input in developing action plans to close gaps between target and actual measures

  • Input to continual Inventory Planning process improvement input

  • Provides assistance in root cause analysis to identify and correct inventory deviations

  • Support process improvement initiatives

  • Support QN Root Cause and Corrective Actions

  • Provide coverage for team members as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 3 years (or more) of experience in Supply Chain

  • 1 year (or more) of experience in planning and warehouse/ terminal processes

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics environment

  • Problem solving ability, sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.

  • Able to navigate competing priorities and fast-paces work load

Preferred

  • 4 year degree in a business discipline

  • 1 year (or more) of SAP experience

  • 1 year (or more) of Inventory management experience
