Cargill is creating a Global Learning Project team to manage Corporate, Enterprise or Function driven learning projects needed to enable key global initiatives. The portfolio of projects that this team will manage and support are intended for global population, require global design & development and enable critical strategic initiatives. The deliverables are most often a virtual learning solution and are owned, managed and deployed by the stakeholder.
The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in consulting, scoping, solution design and development for L&D project work. The Global Learning Project Consultant may actually perform the work of designing and developing the learning deliverable and/or they may contract using a 3rdparty instructional designer. Therefore, this position requires expertise in instructional design methodologies, contractor management and project management capabilities. A high proficiency with virtual and technology enabled learning methods is a must as most solutions will be deployed globally and virtually.This position reports to the Global Learning Project Manager in the Talent & Performance Center of Excellence (COE). This position will work with multiple peers, stakeholders and contractors to achieve results oriented and outcome driven education.
40% - Instructional Design & Development
Responsible for performing the development of the learning solution and/or management of the output by 3rdParty contractors that may be assigned to projects.
20% - Intake, Consulting and Needs Assessment
Once the project has been approved through the demand management and portfolio management process, project intake, solution consulting and a detailed needs assessment is performed. A statement of work (SOW) that outlines the outcomes, deliverables, key project milestones and any costs associated with the project is drafted and signed off by the stakeholder.
20% Learning Solution & Design Scoping: Responsible for detailed scoping and designing utilizing a systematic and practical instructional design methodology. Depending on how the client is managing the overall program or initiative, an agile or traditional approach may be employed to design and develop in a range of learning solutions, applicable in a global environment (i.e., classroom, eLearning, micro learning, video, job aids, blended solutions, etc.). Solution designs must be cost effective and scalable and practical.
20% - Project & Contractor Management: Takes personal responsibility for project performance by actively monitoring progress and proactively communicating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts. Resolve issues impacting quality, schedule and budget. Leverage internal project management tools as appropriate (Project Charter, Project Status Report, Stakeholder Analysis, Change Management, Communication plan, etc.). Manages the quality of the 3rdparty contractor deliverables.
5 years’ experience developing adult learning solutions using a systematic and practical approach.
Ability to execute a global learning project through all aspects of the ADDIE process – (Needs Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation).
Proven experience in building content delivered to global audiences using various methodologies (e.g. e-learning, virtual instructor-led, video, tools and virtual classroom formats).
Demonstrated experience in high quality visual design.
Understanding capabilities of e-learning authoring tools.
Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven experience managing 3rdParty resources to deliver business results.
Ability to manage Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to effectively design quality learning solutions.
Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills.
Capacity to work within a virtual, global team environment.
Ability to work in a high energy, environment where resiliency and timely turnaround of quality work is essential.
Proven creativity and problem solving skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.
Advanced degree in learning/educational field.
Experience operating in regions outside of North America.
Experience developing in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other e-learning tools and graphics software.
Experience in working with competency models, curriculum alignment and competency assessment techniques.
Demonstrated global acumen at all levels of the organization.
