As a Data Visualization Analyst you are responsible to manage the data reporting processes, visualisations and quality in the Cocoa & Chocolate business in CCCNA across all business functions. This is a key role to ensure that data reporting processes are being executed with efficiency and that report quality is high and is maintaining the standards defined by the CCC Data & Analytics team.
This position is part of the Global Cocoa & Chocolate Data & Analytics team and will report to the Global data & Analytics lead of the group. The role will work across multiple business functions to solution specific data applications. This position will be engaged with the capability build that are transforming the way Cocoa & Chocolate drives value by moving technology delivery to a model that is composed of Lean principles and agile approaches.
You, and the team, will partner closely with the various business functions of the Cocoa & Chocolate NA business to bring Data & Analytics products and solutions to the business and set the path for how, when and where digital technology will shape the technology solution and its appropriate use. Additionally, this position will also engage with IT members of the Cargill Data Platform and the Business Applications regional teams to adopt, align and implement best practicses, standards and toolkits.

50%Reporting Process Management
Work with business, application and process owners, and data team members to understand their reporting requirements, and to assist with the process of prioritising, scheduling and delivering the pipeline of Tableau development work;
Hold workshops as required to drive out user stories;
Design, build, test and deploy reports and dashboards in line with best practice;
Design data models as required using industry best practise, documenting logical models and data dictionaries;
Design and use methods to safeguard and improve data quality whilst also making suggestions for improvements;
Understand and review the data that is used to feed Tableau and identify improvement opportunities including data quality that could be delivered through ETL or other changes;
Select appropriate data sources;
Awareness and compliance with GDPR – or willingness to learn;
Identify where Tableau best practices could be adopted in order to improve the service offering;
Work closely with existing Tableau development resources, sharing best practice and ensuring that consistent methods and approaches are adopted;
Providing end user support and training where necessary;
Ensure that changes / improvements are effectively communicated and implemented, and that business benefits are being realized;
Assess and help drive adoption of new technologies and methods within the team and across Cargill;
Build prototype to prove out concepts - Assist and provide coaching to business functional analysts on concepts and idea’s on how to develop this further into a working viable product;
Contribute ideas and/or code that improves core software infrastructure, patterns and standards;
Create or modify access and its documentation from a business perspective.
30% Continuous Improvement & Value Realization
Identifies, executes and leads (continuous improvement) projects with the business to improve data reporting processes and/or quality.
Collaborates with the CCC group to identify data project portfolio opportunities;
Monitors data reporting quality and data process KPIs (key performance indicators), ensure new business capability will be sustainable.
20% Stakeholder management
Responsible for the communication and enforcement of Cargill and CCC’s Org Data Governance policies and procedures to help maintain and ensure architectural integrity;
Responsible for aligning the standards, best practices and learnings from Cargill’s Global IT business applications and Data Platform teams;
Responsible for providing regular updates on achieved progress, challenges and learnings from the build, run and operations area.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Business Related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of IT and business/industry work experience developing data or software applications including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications;
Applied experience with Hadoop and other big data technologies
Experience with development using GitHub, VSTS
Experience with the Agile mindset
Ability to create clear and detailed technical diagrams and documentation
Ability to travel 10%
Master’s Degree in technical or business discipline
2 years applied experience and skills with Tableau or PowerBI
1 years applied experience in data modeling;
1 years applied experience in SQL database setup and MS services (SSIS & SSAS)
