This role is a member of the Accounting & Reporting team for Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain North America. Reporting to the NA Accounting & Reporting Manager CASC, this individual will manage a team that provides business applications expertise and support and offers valuable insights to enable financial reporting to ensure the integrity of financial statements and an effective control environment. This team is a key enabler of continious improvement, application modifications for new product or business processes and implementing required changes from MADJV activities. The scope includes business applications across CASCNA Business Group, which include the Grain, Processing, Crop Inputs and Cotton businesses across the US and Canada. The leader of this team will be a critical partner to the SAP implementation project team for the financial reporting and accounting activities in the upcoming migration of CASCNA businesses into SAP over the next 4 years. To accomplish this, the person in this role and its team partner with other A&F domains, Cargill Business Services (CBS), Global IT, Commercial and BOSC teams, CASCNA continuous improvement and other Centers of Expertise.
40% Business Applications Support
Deliver effective and efficient business applications expertise and support across the Business Group.
Govern and prioritize work requests assigning resources accordingly.
Align processes within the Business Group and with CBS where applicable.
Build capability and business knowledge within CBS on migrated activities.
Develop strong partnerships with the multiple stakeholders supported by this team.
Provide applications expertise for MADJV activities, as needed, in collaboration with relevant functions and partners.
Ensure compliance with the financial control framework and that application controls are designed properly and operating effectively across end-to-end processes.
Escalate control deficiencies to the Controls Advisor.
Collaborate with the Controls domain to ensure proper user segregation of duties across applications and other control initiatives.
Other financial control activities as needed.
10% Continious Improvement
Collaborative across business process (PRTP, OTSC, RTR) owners and other functions (Global IT, CBS, Commercial, BOSC, Continious Improvement) to streamline existing processes and help implement new business requirements.
Active leader in the implementation of process improvements, such as ERP system changes.
Ensures proper data governance for business activities and proper alignment with data standards.

- Business, Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
7 years or more of financial reporting and accounting experience
5 years of direct management or equivalent experience
Experience effectively leading a team through change
Experience in project management
Experience with multiple businesses and/or international business experience
Experience with J.D. Edwards, SAP or other integrated business systems
Experience implementing SAP or similar ERPs.
Experience with Shared Services migrations
Trading business and/or processing/manufacturing experience
Experience leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to mange competing priorities
