Job Purpose and Impact
The Payroll Specialist will design payroll processes that align with company needs and comply with government regulations. In this role, you will complete, verify and process forms and documentation to administer benefits, including pension plans, unemployment and medical insurance.
Key Accountabilities
Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans and collective agreement provisions.
Provide guidance on custom compliance, monitor compliance with import and export regulations, provide regulatory updates, develop guidelines and compliance procedures conducting internal reviews and monitor customs reserves to ensure statutory reporting requirements.
Work within established procedures to maintain and reconcile payroll records and verify and administer payroll data.
Monitor and lead payroll legislation compliance.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
SAP
advanced Excel
intermediate English
Experience in payroll processes at the Latham level
Preferred
Human Resources certificate
Automation tools
Previous experience in Mexican payroll processes
