This position will Leadthe innovation projects and execution for the Region from the technical point of view. Will be responsible to generate technical solutions to the NPVs portfolio.

Is responsible for generating solid technical plans from which it is possible to standardize the production processes (at the design level) and guarantee the development of competitive products (product with the correct profile and the correct cost) that provide the expected satisfaction to our customers and consumers.

Pricinpal Accountabilities

40% Scientist team leadership: Guarantee the resources, physical, technical and knowledge to obtain exceptional results.

20% Pre exploration phases technical leadership: Permanent strengthening of the portfolio and construction of the vision of long-term innovation

20% Build technical plans for innovation portfolio and works in conjunction with its commercial peers to develop innovation assertively and in accordance with the needs of the regional market

10% Understand the consumer an the market and align the portfolio from the technical perspective

5% Technical trends researching and translate the strategy and innovation into competitive products

5% Innovation portfolio risk analysis


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Food Engineer, Chemical, Industrial or Agricultural Engineer.

  • Availability of travel within and outside the country for short periods of time

  • Experience in leadership of work teams

  • Experience in project leadership

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product development positions

  • Communication skills: Clear oral and written expression

  • Knowledge of product development processes (Stage Gate)

  • Basic knowledge of statistics

  • Knowledge of sensory analysis

  • Knowledge in market research techniques or consumer understanding

  • Superior English

  • Result orientation

  • Knowledge in meats product and process development or similar categories

  • Food safety and Latin American food regulations basic knowledge

  • Market intelegence basic knowlege

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related Masters: Food, processes, sensory analysis, product development, project management, MBA, innovation, marketing

  • Operations or quality experience

  • Academic experience
