Job Purpose and Impact

The EHS Supervisor Capability Center LATAM will support the build portfolio of projects and manage the environmental health and safety requirements for contractors. In this role, you will ensure all environmental health and safety requirements adhere to all capital projects for all contractors for the region. #LI-TH1 #LI-Hybrid

Position opened only to Brazil (to live in Sao Paulo/SP or Uberlandia/MG)

Key Accountabilities

  • Use capital projects reports to forecast construction projects to ensure timely delivery.

  • Support and monitor the contractor safety management system deployment in the planning process, contractor training and contractor performance evaluation.

  • Create and maintain a pool of regional contractors and specialized environmental health and safety personnel with deep understanding of company requirements and expectations to provide the needed support during build projects.

  • Implement processes to include the global contractor health and safety requirements when procuring a contractor.

  • Develop and foster relationships with regional account managers to ensure environmental health and safety expectations are addressed in contracts with contractors, logistic providers and material suppliers.

  • Communicate environmental health and safety contractor management requirements and provide technical guidance and communication consistency.

  • Network with industry associations, suppliers, contractors, safety professionals and regulatory bodies to benchmark against industry best practices that should be shared within the company.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or environmental health and safety or equivalent experience,

  • Solid and proven years of related work experience

  • Intermediary English level

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post graduatIon in Project Management or EHS

  • Solid and proven experience in similar industry (multinational or agribusiness)
