Cargill Protein SEA is the largest exporter of fullycooked chicken in Thailand supplying product to 28 countries around the world.Amongst its many customers, it has a strategic relationship with Family Mart inJapan and and is a critical supplier to McDonalds in Japan and Europe. It is avertically integrated business with 6 plants located in two locations and witha seventh currently being built. It also runs a very significant Processingsupply chain that has its own feedmills, breeders farms and hatcheries whilemanaging a network of contract farms that grow our birds.

Headquartered in Saraburi, Thailand (the site of thefirst plant) it has a workforce of approximately 14,000 people. The hallmark ofthe business has been to deliver extremely high quality, food safe andinnovative products to our customers. The business consistently exceeds itscustomer’s quality criteria and has grown by keeping pace with the rapid growthwith our customer results. The business today is running at full capacity, is buildingfor future growth and has just expanded into two countries in the region.

This position is in finance function and is primarilyresponsible for providing financial planning and analysis of C-Joy ProcessingDivision (Live Bird to Plant, Primary processing and Third party Dressingplants) of our C-Joy Business in the Philippines. Key focus areas will be asfollows

  • Implements critical Processing FP&Aprocesses based on practices in Thailand but tuned to the Philippines businessneeds. C-Joy will adopt and leverage the FP&A resources in Thailand.

  • Supports C-Joy Finance Director in providingfinancial analysis of Processing Division performance and prepares keyProcessing performance reports for C-Joy management and board of directormeetings.

  • Research opportunities for revenue enhancementor cost savings in the Processing Division in order to improve the financialand operational performance of the Processing Division.

  • Support the regional CPSEA FP&A team asrequired

Financial Planning &Analysis

  • Work with Finance Director to identify newmetrics (i.e. KPIs) to drive performance relative to strategic priorities.Enhance scenario planning analysis for strategic planning activities.

  • Support opportunities that drive value withinbusiness (stretch targets). Measured by profit improvement (wider margins),lower cost and driving performance. Bring attention to Finance Director andmanagement on most critical risks and opportunities.

  • Provide deep analysis and provide fact-basedanalysis on best ways to win in our markets and actions necessary to achieve.

  • Apply wide/diverse commercial knowledge withunderstanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.

  • Assist Finance Director to supports theenterprise/business with new Ag Division business activities and issuesresolution, including MADJV, business transactions, tax and customs issues,monitoring the performance of the new acquired business etc. and liaising withlegal and other cross-functional departments as necessary.

  • Understands, translates, and provides insightinto business performance against competitor & industry trends. Ability toconnect the dots.

  • Work closely with the other functions andbusiness managers to ensure Ag Division strategies are accomplished.

  • Provides financial and change leadership byactively participating in Processing Division strategy planning. Providesnecessary support to accomplish plans/strategy.

  • Participate in Processing Division customersolution teams with focus on offering financial solutions to Jollibee /by-product customers.

  • Support Finance Director with clearpresentations including defending positions on controversial topics, adaptstyle to continuously seek ‘win/win’ solutions.

  • Primary contact person for the finance function with the Processing Divisionteam.

Accounting and Finance

  • Work closely with Accounting & Finance(A&F) team to ensure timely and accurate financial and management reportingand analysis of business performance. Partner effectively with A&F, CFR andtax team for reporting and data needs.

  • For any exceptions and adjustments to financialrecords, team up with A&F team to correct accounting entries and reports.

  • Utilizing a broad knowledge of businessoperations, ensure risks are identified and mitigated and to ensure compliancewith regulatory standards.

  • Work closely with Finance director on efforts toensure controls and compliance measures are in place for all reported financialinformation and/or business processes.

  • Performs and reviews ongoing financial controlassessments of the Processing division.

  • Acts as point of contact locally with thestatutory and external/internal auditors in relation to the ProcessingDivision. Work with Finance Director to ensure all audit issues identified areaddressed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate Processing Division P&L close,review and analyses of information, and budget preparation

  • Oversees relationship with the Processingdivision and other functions and business managers to ensure compliance, andensure strategies are accomplished.

  • Responsible for Processing Division budgeting andmonitoring, including control of expenses.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum of 8 years FPA or accounting experience

  • English Proficiency

  • Good ability to develop long term strategicplans

  • Good accounting experience with very goodtechnical knowledge

  • Demonstrated change agility.

  • Good ability to influence at all levels of theorganization.

  • Good communication skills, both written andverbal

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to partner and engage with AgricultureDivision and Processing Division staffs

  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to dealwith ambiguity

  • Good team player with strong interpersonal andinfluencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance/Accounting

  • 5 plus years of management accounting, financialplanning and analysis experience.

  • Experience in start-ups is a plus.

  • Experience working an organization that adapted successfullythrough structural / organizational changes

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in aculture shift of continuous improvement and optimization

  • Poultry or animal processing or manufacturing plant business experienceis a plus
