Description

This position is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day inventory planning, monitoring , controlling and auditing activities. This role ensures smooth and accurate inventory reporting including eggs, chicks, live birds, and finished goods at plants, warehouses and customer locations. The integration of various phases of the supply chain as customer focus, logistics of the factories, productive process, warehousing and distribution are a must for this position.

This role ensures inventories are accurate at any given time, mitigating write off cost, lessening ageing stockwhich also meet customer food safety and food quality requirements. Third party warehousesevaluation, performance management, and methods to investigate and provide objective evaluation are also key components of this position.

INVENTORY CONTROL

a)Manage and control the releasing of the following inventory documents

i)Control series of DR

ii)Control series of STS

iii)Control series of IRA

iv)Control series of inventory tags

v)Control series of inventory documents

b)Assist in generatinglong range inventory projection while maintaining inventory cost operations within the budget

c)Ensures that all accountable forms or documents are complete and secured

INVENTORY AUDITING

a)Validate the accuracy of theoretical inventory on daily basis

b)Ensure that all recorded transactions are supported by documents

c)Challenge any ambiguity of the documented transactions

d)Review the documents compliance in terms of timeliness and accuracy in encoding and highlights contributory factors to non-compliance.

e)Spot audit to warehouse and logistics operation :

i)Documents filling

ii)Check and validate the compliance ofexecuting theapproved and written inventory policies

f)Validateinventory discrepancy between the actual physical count and System transactions

g)Perform trend analysis of audit findings to identify areas for improvement

h)Serve as point person for co-auditors during each audit ;provide guidance and instruction

i)Assist in audit reporting

j)Assist in post-audit follow up

k)Assist in pre-audit planning

l)Maintain master audit schedule and audit files

INVENTORY REPORTING

a)Support measuring and monitoring KPIs such as:

i)Days of Supply

ii)Ageing stock

iii)Inventory Turns

iv)Other Inventory KPIs

b)Process and develop tools and reporting

c)Assist in writing and implementing cross functional work instructions and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy

d)Managed and validate fiscal end documents including inventory accounting reports.

INVENTORY COUNT

a)Perform weekly inventory or cycle count per product breakdown

b)Compare inventories with theoretical inventory

c)Actively participate on monthly physical inventory and ensure that theoretical inventory were accurate with actual counts.

d)Demonstrate continuous improvement by identifying ways to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy

e)Develop and understand the overall business and the relationships between departments in order to better understand how they impact inventory and inventory integrity

f)Perform additional duties as assigned

g)Review and investigate daily theoretical report

h)Participates in the implementation of continuous improvement projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requi r edQualifications

Bachelor’s Degree graduate preferably Industrial Engineer

  • 3 yearsexperience in Operations, Sales or Supply Chain

  • 3 yearsexperience in Agri/foods business to business environment

P r efer r ed Qualifications

  • Experience in the poultry/ dressingplant or food industry

  • Strong competence in warehouse and inventorymanagement

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

  • ERP experienced , preferably SAPsystem

  • Excellent communication skills(frequent interaction with different functions/levels)

  • Good analytical skills and Goodproblem solving skills

  • Hands-on problem solver

  • Self-starter, initiative taking

  • Process & task oriented

  • Ability to perform under time pressure

  • Detailed oriented

  • Able to train others in jobfunction

  • Able to train and guideothers through technology systems that drive function

  • Knowledge of bar-coding and real timeinventory movement
