Responsible for the attainment of the production goal of the unit, aligned to overall efficiency and profitability goal of the company.
Responsible in the supervision of all farms in his/her area of assignment and ensure that production targets and standards are being met through efficient broiler management. This position will also ensure adherence to Cargill Guiding Principles to include policies and procedures for safety, food safety, environmental, sanitation, work quality standards, management and production
o Assists the Broiler Farm during check-in, brooding and harvesting and undertake measures which shall ensure the successful growing of flock.
o Forecasting, requesting, monitoring and control of farm inputs: feeds medicines, vaccines and other biologicals
o Perform routine check on the general health condition and production performance of the birds and to provide necessary medical assistance in coordination with Poultry Technical Specialist as needed.
o Ensure the proper dispersal, medication and administration of vaccines, antibiotics, vitamins and other poultry medications seeing to it that such were properly given in accordance with Animal Health Procedures.
o Ensures that all provisions of the broiler contract growing agreement are strictly being implemented including biosecurity and safety policies
o Responsible in the timely submission of blood, fecal, water and other samples for routine laboratory examination and analysis.
o Provides continuous training to farms personnel on systems and processes with regards to house preparation, chick acceptance, brooding, growing, harvesting and proper documentation.
o Documents and analyze daily production data and in checking all farm reports for accuracy, correctness and timeliness of submission. Ensures that production performance is regularly evaluated and reviewed with the partners to be able to come up with action plans and improvements.
o Consolidates and processes final growing liquidations and in computing incentives and penalties basis broiler contract payment provision.
Should be a graduate or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Agricultural Engineering.
5 years experience in broiler breeder or 3 years broiler production.
Knowledgeable of basic HR practices, etc.
