MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS PLANNING
Responsible for the detailed materials plan taking into considerationhistorical demand data as well as forward forecasts to determine the mostoptimum economical stock levels.
Anticipate potential inventory issues likeshortages and oversupply.
Generates ideas, insights and solutions toprevent or resolve potential problems, followed by decisive action to implementsolutions.
Identify obsolete, slow moving, unused inventory for eventualdisposition.
Useeffective collaboration skills using open communication and sharing ofimportant business information to all concerned.
SUPPLIER AND PURCHASING MANAGEMENT
Coordinatesdelivery schedules and other matters with the suppliers as needed. Monitors theflow of inventory from the supplier to the plant, warehouses and otherlocations.
Evaluatessupplier on time performance and other factors
SYSTEMS / DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Ensures that all materials requirements areidentified, communicated and documented.
Analyze data and collaborate with internalcustomers to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishmentpolicies.Works with plant operations to ensure adequate inventory is available
Use statistical techniques on inventory data todetermine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels,and reduce total costs in order to support lean manufacturing activities.
Makes sure that all materials are entered in theERP system and appropriate master data details are available.
Other Duties as Assigned
Providesother support to production and management as required.
2-3 years of relevant experience.
Good understanding of supply chain processes andtheir interdependencies.
Highly effective and professional verbal andwritten communication skills with team, internal customers and suppliers thatincludes a strong focus on teamwork and internal/external customer satisfaction.
Exhibits & encourages a sense of urgency.
Highly organized with strong attention todetail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritizeprojects and primary responsibilities.
Ability to establish and maintain effectiveworking relationships with management, colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and negotiationskills.
Proficient in MSOffice.Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excelskills.
Ability to performunder time pressure.
