Job Purpose and Impact

The FX Trade Product Control (TPC) Associate Director I will develop and implement the global FX strategy for delivery, specialization and differentiation of foreign exchange risk for relevant businesses and reporting transactions. In this role, you will partner collaboratively with senior leaders to lead the implementation of the group level process strategy and standards for risk and trade product control processes. In this role, you will be an active steward of the FX Control Framework and will bring capability and strategic opportunities and gaps to the FX COE and / or senior risk management leaders for dispositioning and actioning. You are regularly sought by individuals because of your FX aptitude, and will exercise your judgement in a broader scope, having an impact on the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with the leadership team to lead the defined business group trade product control strategy in alignment with the FX COE, providing expertise to develop the global vision for services delivery

  • Execute the business group trade product control strategy with continuous improvement, advising to adhere to global key metrics and measurements for trade product control process effectiveness, evaluate the performance and leverage internal and external industry best practices

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify and handle impacts of the implementation of trading and risk management vision

  • Partner with other trade product control leaders, business and trading leaders to evaluate and support the assessed needs within a differentiated service model.

  • Build the key capabilities needed to execute against vision, perform gap analysis and talent capability growth or acquisition

  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs

  • Lead in regional risk assessments

  • Ensure compliance of operations and monitor points of control

  • Ensure in collaboration with the FX COE alignment with global policies and practices

  • Create documentation and training materials and ensure that they are kept up to date as changes are implemented across all risk and trade product control processes.

  • Communicate, providing engagement to the team, and share knowledge for the ongoing development of others

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Broad and deep expert knowledge in trade product control

  • Confirmed experience in trade product control or adjacent function in a trading environment

  • In depth knowledge to leverage technology in operational, reporting and analysis processes

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial risk management and proven ability to identify and quantify risks

  • Experience in process design, transformational projects and implementation of process improvements

  • Good knowledge in commodities and derivatives

  • US GAAP accounting understanding to evaluate financial risks

  • Experience in data analytical tools such as KNIME, Tableau or Power BI
