This (2nd Shift) full time position is located in Sidney, Oh; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.
We are looking for a passionate ASRS Clerk who wants to help the world thrive!
In this position you will be actively involved with directly supporting the ASRS shipping/receiving team. Key communication partners are customers, transportation representatives, customer service representatives, procurement, accounting and other key Cargill stakeholders. Invested in learning all of ASRS Shipping/Receiving Administrative functions. Troubleshoots problems inbound/outbound delivery orders. Ensure bill of ladings are properly created and distributed to the appropriate internal parties. Removing obstacles that prohibit the shipping employees from successfully completing their daily tasks. Encompass and continue to acquire Cargill computer systems, SAP, WM6 and some Microsoft Operating Systems. The ability to work with little direction; knowing who to contact when situations arise. Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed. Pick partial pallets for shipment and/or build partials into full for induction/put away. Perform employee hour allocations to ensure daily truck loading schedules are met. Backup to Logistics Coordinator (scheduler) during vacations. Other functions as directed by the Supervisor.
Checking in/out trucks, printing BOL’s and filing. Close doors and seal trucks. Develop good working relationships with internal and external customers
Work with customer service getting copies of BOL’s and/or resolving discrepancies.
Keep track of drop trailers, live loads on the lot and communicate with the guard.
Keep Shipping office clean and organized including filing paperwork
Operate ASRS and SPOC system when needed
Our new hire should have:
Strong PC skills notably with a warehouse management system
Ability to work well under pressure, responds to new challenges, and meet deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated high performance (work performance, attendance record, safety record, BBS activities, willingness to lead change) as well as proven strong teamwork and attitude
Multi-task abilities, i.e, simultaneous activities occur in area and you need to anticipate issues and plan ahead.
Detail oriented-ability to see the details (correct qty allocated on orders, correct delivery numbers associated with drivers issued numbers and match seal, trailer and BOL numbers, etc).
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, shoveling and pounding with hammer.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Must be able to read/write English

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

High School diploma or Equivalent
Advanced computer skills
Previous Shipping /Receiving experience in a food industry
Prior experience in production related work.
