Job Purpose and Impact

The Sourcing Generalist will participate with team members to perform more complex sourcing support activities for a category or subcategory locally. In this role, you will participate in soliciting and analyzing requests for proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients for goods and services.

Key Accountabilities

• Understand business requirements for more complex categories, and sub categories aligned with local sourcing requirements.

• Be able to independently manage multiple projects at a time.

• Support the routine activities within local sourcing.

• Conduct more complex research and analysis using a general understanding of data management analytics and sourcing.

• Participate in local supplier selection and negotiations, may lead to more complex selection and negotiation.

• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Other duties as assigned

• The position is open in Shippensburg, PA, Kansas City, KS, and Lewisburg, OH.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AS400-based ERP systems, SAP, or Tableau.

• Knowledge of risk management principles.

• Able to travel as needed by the business.
