Position Purpose & Summary

Lead Dairy & Beverage category technical team to function as the partner for business strategy execution in Great China region. Provide input to help shape business strategy from technical perspective and then form category technical strategy accordingly. Provide technical leadership in building key customer relationships, proactively digging out and catching CFI project opportunities to build project pipeline. Responsible for category NBD and innovation project management, responsible for category technical capability build up to meet business needs . Execute trials according to the safety and technical written procedures. Build a highly engaged technical workforce and develop/maintain the technical expertise, and help team to build strong regional/global internal connectivity.

Core Technologies (e.g. separations, fermentation, product safety, carcass disassembly, milling and grinding, packaging)

Enabling sciences (e.g. process modeling, toxicology, advanced analytics, sensory, nutrition, sensory, muscle biology, chemistry)

Ingredients/Product Lines (e.g. Starch, Hydrocolloid, lecithin, Functional System, emulsifiers)

Lead China Dairy & Beverage category Technical team, provide guidance and coaching to team members, develop/maintain the competitive technical expertise, build a high performance team and high engaged technical workforce.Involve dairy&beverage business strategy development and work out category technical strategy to align with business needs

Understand customer’s technical requirement based on their process and recipes, lead projects setting by involvement in strategy making and discussion, prioritizing the multiple projects for team and creating value by innovation. Focus on customer focus innovation & NBD projects and achieve technical success. Define and understand clearly the requirement and technical challenge and cross it with our available products or provide innovated solutions with the most practical approach.

Excute the new product lunched SOP and customer complain process ,collaborarte with operation /QA and sale team to for quick response and result driven .

To work hand in hand with Sales Team to consistently engaged key and selected customers. Build up and maintain the R&D-R&D relationship in a good level, share the goal with commercial team to improve business performance by increase the high value project number and project success rate.

Lead and organize technical activities include customer innovation day, road show and visit according to annual plan.

To provide necessary service and quick response on customer request, include documentations and presentations to customers e.g. product data sheets, trial results analysis, presentations on product and application introductions, promotion materials.

To provide samples for customer trial, guide and assist customer to complete plant trials as required and achieve desired results.

To control and manage team’s report /recipe ‘s quality and make sure meet Cargill IP request

Actively participated in protection of intellectual assets within the scope of project.

Responsible for lab safety, food safety, procedure, documentation and practice excellent.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills

Required Qualifications

1.Typically Requires Advanced Degree in applicable enabling science (Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc)

2.Experience in starch, soy, hydrocolloids, lecithin, flavor, glucose syrup, refined oil, human nutrition ingredients, cultures, systems/blending or others food ingredients application. Above 8 years’ experience

Pr.oven experience on how to get things done within a matrix organization. Experience with building and engaging cross-functional and multi-cultural team

4.Proven ability to effectively represent the business from a technical perspective to customers, trade shows and conference, and highly adept at making effective presentations

5.Ability to identify and translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets

6.Experience at building competitive advantage through the use of the organization’s technical capabilities, and by providing product innovation and creative solutions.

7.Ability to devise preventive and corrective actions in matters of EHSQ. Ability to perform an internal audit concerning EHSQ matters to make recommendations for improvement

8.Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead people in a new direction, manage and improve processes for own and broader team
