Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and

industrial customers through a seamless supply chain. We help our customers compete in the global market and

efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading,

consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions. CASC NA business reaches across

Canada, United States & Mexico with an expansive asset footprint including over 200 grain elevators, export/import

facilities, oilseed crush plants, biodiesel facilities, and farm service centers.

As the Seasonal Labourer reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safe and efficient hands-on duties. Your duties will include; operating loading and receiving machinery, providing customer service and support, and maintaining the facility and grounds to achieve production goals.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate information of all transaction data are recorded as required

  • Inventory management and assistance with inventory counts

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Operate all equipment associated with position – primarily delivery truck but may include skid steer and forklift

  • Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation and attend various mandatory safety and department meetings

  • Assist other plant personnel as needed, and perform any other duty as requested by the leadership team

  • Monitor all vehicles entering the site and ensure they are safe and of proper condition

  • Ensure all safety standards and policies are followed

  • Assist customers with questions or concerns, forward on to appropriate location staff

This Full Time - Seasonal position is located in Rycroft, Alberta; however please expect receiving calls from a 204 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping and climbing ladders

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold

  • Must be able to read/write English

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to work holidays, evenings, weekends or different shifts when asked

  • Must be capable of routinely lifting 50lbs

  • Must be capable of routinely climb in and out of delivery truck cab and box

  • Must be capable of moving pallets of product with pallet jack

Preferred:

  • Able to work in elevated areas

  • Able to operate machinery

  • Forklift certified

  • Basic computer skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow up

  • Able to work independently at times

  • Skid Steer Loader Certification

  • Previous experience working within an agricultural, industrial, or retail environment

  • Background in crop inputs retail business for Crop Input business

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and perform basic inspection of mobile equipment
