Job Purpose and Impact

The Sales Operations Business Analyst will develop an in depth understanding of the business to innovate significant data driven insights to help stakeholders and customers make better decisions. In this position you will be responsible for managing the execution and analysis of Cargill's muscle beef sales strategy. You will work and have direct contact with the Walmart beef buying team. You will manage all buyer requests on a variety of topics including quality, labeling, sales reporting/performance, average unit ring adherence, and pricing. You will assist with customer meetings including line reviews and our monthly face to face planning meetings.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and analyze customer needs, gather requirements and define the scope and objectives to drive business decisions.

  • Prepare data and develop dashboards as well as explore new potential data to support reporting and analysis initiatives.

  • Prepare reports and analysis to identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with business teams and operations on account opportunities that are identified.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of five years of related work experience

  • Demonstrated advanced analytical computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Experience collaborating with teams across multiple product categories

  • Customer facing experience, including verbal, written and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Confirmed experience working with large data stores

  • Experience with WalMart Retail Link

  • Experience with beef and/or case ready

  • Experience in sales - desire to be in a sales role in the future

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave

Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
