Job location: Liverpool (Seaforth)

Cargill’s portfolio of refined vegetable oils allows our customers in food manufacturing, retail, catering and food services to create a wide range of tasty and nutritious food products. We partner with our customers to develop innovative products and solutions together to help them meet their consumer’s requirements.

It’s an exciting time for the Seaforth plant as we embark on an expansion project to further enhance our offering to customers. We are looking to appoint a Project Accountant on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract to support the project by maintaining full accounting of actual spend to budget.

Main Tasks:

  • Set up the administrative organisation and related internal controls, in line with corporate guidelines , local and statutory requirements. This entails a setup of a detailed cost code structure on SAP, a weekly Budget Tracking report which would cover Committed (Spent or Open PO’s) and Non-Committed expenditure and Estimated Times To Complete

  • Track through to purchase order and against budget, ensuring spend is utilised and controlled accordingly as per the budget plan

  • Ensure full reconciliation between Corporate reporting and Local Reporting.

  • Collaborate with the other Finance colleagues to ensure project is properly reported

  • Work with our treasury team to ensure all non USD purchases are within hedging plan

  • Responsible for capitalisation of the project onto the fixed asset system that properly reflects their description/asset life.

  • Work closely together with tax & customs and legal affairs in dealing with tax and importation issues

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting/Finance or equivalent experiences

  • Experience with SAP system is essential

  • Experience with CAPEX Project Management

  • Accounting working experience within a multinational company

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and be self-motivated

  • Experience with every angle reporting would be an advantage

  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment
