Description

Considered experienced professionals in the supply planning or production scheduling space with comprehensive and thorough knowledge to use under some oversight in conducting moderately complex activities. Responsible for coordinating multiple products or sites with medium impact on working capital, and focus on the near-term planning horizon with awareness of all planning horizons. This includes: production scheduling, process development, planning & execution, customer & client interaction / business partnership, systems/data management, reporting & analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

50% PRODUCTION SCHEDULING

  • Maintains data relevant to production scheduling activities including planning calendars, material data and location data

  • Create and publish daily a production plan based on the master production plan for assigned products or locations

  • Communicate and collaborate with Material Requirements Planning to validate efficient material inventories to support production plan

  • Communicate the daily production plan to the shop floor for execution

  • Provide potential solutions for the business to review when near term production capacity does not meet requirements

  • Reviews production schedule on a daily basis for assigned products or locations and works with Supply Planner to develop plans to service customers through any shortages.

30% INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING

  • Provide necessary capacity input to Supply Planner for assigned products or locations as it relates to the CIBP Process

  • Uses thorough knowledge to assist in follow up action items from CIBP meetings as assigned with minimal assistance

20% BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT/METRICS

  • Provides input in setting Production Scheduling metrics targets

  • Analyze actual measure vs. target measures for assigned product(s) or locations

  • Provides input in developing action plans to close gaps between target and actual measures

  • Input to continual Production Scheduling process improvement input

  • Provides assistance in root cause analysis to identify and correct deviations from targets

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or High School completed 3 years working experience in supply chain or plant operations

  • At least 1 years’ experience in Master Production Planning or Production Scheduling

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment

  • Knowledge of chocolate/compound production, or experience and knowledge in a food manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to to adapt to change

  • Effective communication skills and ability to tailor a message to diverse audience

  • Ability to multitask and balance aggressive timelines

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams

  • Analytical proficiency in Excel

  • Positive and constructive attitude

  • Ability to understand a long-term production plan and how it relates to a short to medium-term detailed schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree

  • APICS Certification

  • Experience working in SAPAPO and BI
