To provide technical knowledge, operations experience and management skill at a first line supervisory level in the daily direction and efficient performance of maintenance related activities/functions in the attainment of short and long term facility goals. The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor must be flexible to the changing needs of the underground mining operation in Lansing, NY, which includes the ability to work any shift including weekends.
50% Organize, plan, and lead electrical and mechanical maintenance activities to manage equipment repair and PM’s. Establish priorities, direct field and shop repairs and equipment services.
20% Accountable to enhance plant electrical operations and equipment dependability through Cargill Reliability model.
Optimizes PM and PdM systems to reduce downtime.Create and implement PM program upgrades on a continuous basis. Provides electrical leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Team, Will provide feedback to M&R Manager, and salaried team
15% Safety implementation of effective safety programs and all EHS and MSHA policy and procedures.
15% Positive two-way communication, fair and consistent administration of the company policy and procedures. Compliance with all division/facility policies and procedures
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High School/equivalency, 3yrs experience with MV Electrical equipment (13.8KV) Or, Two-year technical degree/certificate (Electrical Engineering Technologist)
Familiarity with Electrical Protective Relaying systems
Ability to read and comprehend electrical 1-line distribution diagrams
Ability to perform circuit load and voltage drop calculations
Experience in specifing electrical distribution equipment, overcurrent protection, cable sizing
Willing and able to work specific schedules as per business need. (Thu- Fri 6 am to 4 pm / Sat-Sunday 12:30 pm to 10:30 )
Willing and able to work 90% inside a Salt Facility mine.
Forward looking vision of technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Qualified Tradesperson (Journeyman Electrician)
Experience with SAP CMMS ( computerized maintenance management system)
Knowledge of PdM (Predictive Maintenance Technologies)
Working knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety including NFPA70E
AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
MS Excel proficiency
