Cargill Risk Management (CRM) plays a key role in enabling Cargill's strategic direction to strengthen its trading and risk management capabilities. CRM is on its journey to becoming a world-class risk management practice, and continuing to execute on its multi-year strategy is paramount to its success.

The Senior Financial Analyst role within CRM’s Middle Office will be responsible for daily pricing, p/l, and reporting and analysis. This includes reconciliations between systems, process improvements, and detailed problem solving. This role requires strong technical skills, both with financial derivatives and a deep understanding of SQL. The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with Trading, Marketing, IT, Accounting, Operations, and Credit. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and controls of CRM’s valuations, customer reporting and margining processes in a fast-paced environment in which our commercial teams are constantly developing new products and markets.

60% Daily pricing and p/l reconciliations. Responsible for specific product lines and back-up for the remainder.

20% Assist in testing and setup of new front office system. This includes testing and maintaining prices and exchange instruments and creating an instrument library in the new system.

10% Research price calculation issues using SQL queries within the Oracle database.

5% Analyze and implement automations replacing manual pricing processes.

5% Ad Hoc projects.

Qualifications

R equired Qualifications

Accounting, finance or business degree or comparable accounting/finance experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance role

Experience working in a trading environment

Experience with financial derivatives

Experience with SQL

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently and be a quick, analytical thinker

Comfortable making decisions in an ambiguous environment

Adaptable and flexible to work in an evolving business environment

Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

Familiarity working with a trade capture system

Advanced Excel skills (Logical functions, DB functions, PivotTables, able to build integrated spreadsheets)
