PositionPurpose & Summary

This position isresponsible for the Solution Design, Build, Test and Service Introduction ofthe application end-to-end within the Finance Application Portfolio area. As a strong business delivery partner theSolution Manager understands business challenges and opportunities and works tolead the scoping, design (functional analysis and functional/technicalarchitecture) and build of value-added solutions to meet the set businessrequirements and outcomes on time, on schedule and on budget.

The Solution Management position encompasses thefollowing functional and global product or technology areas:

Responsible for Solution/Applications that support thefollowing Cash Management and Credit to Cash Business Process and Sub-ProcessCapabilities:

Credit toCash: Credit to Risk Management

  • Credit Limit Management

  • Transactional Credit Management

  • Trade Limit and MTM Risk Management

Credit toCash: Billing to Payments

  • Sales Contract Settlement

  • Customer Invoicing / Billing

  • Sales Program Accrual Processing

  • Collection Management

  • Dispute Management

  • Cash Application

  • A/R Exposure Management

CashManagement:

  • Bank Account Administration

  • Short Term Cash Position

  • Exceptional Treasury Payments

  • In-House Bank

  • Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Commercial Payments

Responsible foran Application Portfolio that consists of approximately 42 Credit to CashApplications and Cash Management applications.

  • Determine and recommend centralization, harmonization and applicationrationalization strategy as it relates to the CBS Service Catalog

  • Work with Finance Function, EA and the Technology Architect to defineroadmap for migration of solution capabilities to Global Finance Platform

  • Work with the Technology Architect to determine decommissioning/delicensingand data archiving strategy

Work with theFinance Global Process Organization, Enterprise & Solution Architects andTechnology Architect to implement the Finance Data Strategy as it relates tothe Finance portfolio.

Theposition requires a strong leader who can partner effectively across Global ITand with third-party partners; a strong expertise in portfolio businessprocesses and demonstrated delivery oversight as part of large globaltransformations.

Alignment with Regional Portfolio Application, PMO and Deployment teams,plus Enterprise Process management teams will be critical in achieving the deliverystrategy and will requirestrong change management and influencing skills.

Principal Accountabilities

60%Solution Management – Design/Build thru Deploy

  • Owns resource forecast & estimating for prioritized backlogof activities

  • Sets expectations & curator of design/dev standardsadopted for area

  • Knowledge of Agile Delivery Capabilities

  • Drives to a collectionof approved user stories & edge cases

  • Key supporting cast for product visioning &connecting ideas together for design & build feasibility, value and speed.'the how'

  • Responsible for design/build deliverable commitments andbuy-in across component areas

  • Ensure design/build adheres to risk andperformance/infrastructure scalability - ensure design completeness across app& network/infra

  • Responsible lead for testing teams; approach andexecution/results sign-off

  • Responsible lead to SCRUM master(s)

  • Understands market competition/trends & consults withbusiness to develop new product ideas/concepts

  • Ensures team commitment (skills/expertise) to ImmersiveLearning Center & Rapid Prototyping teams on key development and backlogtargeted

  • Ensures team commitment (skills/expertise) tocollaborates & partner lab teams on key development and backlog targeted

  • Supports complex problem solving with operations for liveproducts - inclusive of RCA analysis and action plans, and a champion forlong-term health of design 'the how'

  • Contributes to architecture review boards for portfolioarea. Looks to EA for community of practice consulting and guidance on detaileddesigns and decisions in alignment with overall architecture decisions

  • Manages pipeline for rapid prototyping and ILC orexternal labs

  • Evangelizes and stays current on latest design trends anddiscussions - key speaker(s) in internal and external outreachdiscussions/events

  • Stays connected with Enterprise Architecture to refineand confirm base package or custom application target strategies/decisions

  • Looks to EA for community of practice consulting and guidanceon detailed designs and decisions in alignment with overall architecturedecisions

  • Ensure overall solution(s) architectures are maintainedand thoroughly understood by the team

  • Responsible lead for cutover teams to define keyrequirements and go activity plans for day 1 cutover& hypercare

  • Responsible lead during major go lives for design/build

  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing (andsuccession planning) of critical knowledge areas

  • Lead culture of discipline and compliance and ensure adherenceto a global standard process & controls

  • Collaborate with the Regional Deployment teams tooptimize and/or modernize applications

  • Maintain awareness of application risks and opportunitiesfor expansion and improvement. Seeks out and recommends improvements whichenhance capability, performance, and minimize costs

  • Provide recommendations for advancing applications acrossthe globe ensuring high user acceptance. and adoption, regulatory compliance,and alignment with business and function strategies

20% Peopleand Budget Management

  • Administer/oversees general workforce administrationpolicies and programs in the areas of communications, staffing, training,evaluations, disciplinary actions and safety

  • Develop planning for future workforce needs in directcontrol and participates in the selection of employees

  • Responsible for developing strong leaders and in aglobal, diverse workforce by seeking multiple approaches to source/attractdiverse talent. Incorporates diversity in succession planning and job fulfillment

  • Communicate key decisions, Cargill information and otherenabling information to team

  • Accountable for medium-term outlook workforce planningand for performance management, talent development, succession planning,coaching, and engagement for team

  • Lead and implements systems and processes to maintain ahighly engaged workforce. Holds direct reports accountable for activelyaddressing engagement issues and identifies/leverages best practices inengagement. Ensure delivery of quality work product by team

  • Responsible for financial management across team andbusiness planning (forecasting, reporting P&L, etc.)

20% PartnerRelationships, Delivery Roadmap and Score carding

  • Facilitates and manages near and longer-term deliveryroadmap with Portfolio Architect consult

  • Facilitates key program/project reviews of deliverypipeline across global & regional portfolios with BRMs, Regions and/orother delivery area leads to collaborate on learnings, cross dependencies &continuous improvement in delivery overall

  • Delivers dashboard/metrics on delivery roadmap achieved,portfolio customer satisfaction, adoption/recovery, value realization

  • Ensure appropriate metrics (Risk, Issues, Project Status,Resource Utilization, etc.) are maintained, analyzed and acted on to ensureeffectiveness

  • Maintain partnering/relationship with internal and 3rdparty providers to deliver project quality and operational excellence andinnovation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Accounting and/orFinance), IT, or Computer Science or equivalentin experience

  • Minimum eight years of IT and business / industry workexperience

  • Minimum three years of experience working in Financeapplications design & build

  • Minimum five yearsof experience in leading a distributed team

  • Minimum five yearsof people management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead Change Management efforts

  • Ability to Deliver Results (Quality & Benefits)

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguoussituations

  • Demonstrated experience managing cost/quality/schedulecontrols

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree (MBA)

  • Minimum five years experience in working with Accountingor Finance related applications and business processes

  • Demonstrated large delivery transformations

  • Experience with delivery methods in partner constructs

  • Understanding of data analysis, visualization andcommunication

  • Knowledge of S/4 HANA Finance
