Cargill Production Support Clerk (12 Month Term) in High River, Alberta

Job Purpose and Impact

The Production Support Clerk will provide support to employees, a small team or department. In this fast-paced role, you will coordinate, integrate and implement assigned administrative and staff functions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Process vacation requests, submit routine requests to HR via Electronic Service Request System.

  • Perform routine administrative work within established procedures.

  • Enter routine data into standard forms and templates, and file and archive paper and electronic documents.

  • Receive and relay telephone messages from internal and external sources, and as well face-to-face interaction with production employees.

  • Handle basic clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.

  • Experience working in a high-volume busy environment where multi-tasking is required.

  • Strong customer service skills with ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.

  • Able to work cross-shifts (TBD).

  • Able to work Saturdays when required.

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Payroll, Human Resources or Customer Service experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
