This full time position is located in Hazleton, PA; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all GMP, Safety, and Food Safety requirements

  • Be able to access production schedules, LOTO and safe work permits and update them as needed during a shift

  • Be able to look at current and future orders on the production schedule and understand what pre-work needs done to be able to produce an order.

  • Gain access to SAP and learn how to navigate, issue, and receipt process orders.

  • You are acting as the shift lead. For example, you are a second pair of eyes in your department to ensure equipment is running. Help troubleshoot with other operators and help make sure we are operating in an efficient and timely manner. Help minimize with downtime.

  • You will be the leader on the shift in which employees can come to with problems along with salaried supervisors. In other words, be the leader and act as a leader. Report issues to Supervisor via cellphone or email.

  • You will be expected, over time, to learn both sides of the plant in regards to the lead role.

  • Must learn all department roles for coverage.

  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling and pounding with hammer.

  • Ability to lift a minimum 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas.

  • Must be able to operate machinery.

  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to read/write English.

  • High School diploma or Equivalent.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work overtime.

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

  • At least 6 months of experience in production related work.


  • Forklift certified.

  • Able to perform physical job duties including work in confined spaces.
