Employees in our Maintenance (Electronics, Electrical and General Mechanics) departments arean importantrole in the dailyoperations of our facilities. There are a variety of roleswithin this title such asMechanics of different skill levels, Mechanic assistants, and Electricians.Maintenance and Electronic/electrical workers responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining all the accepts of the facility and it’sequipment as well was constructing, developing, and designing areas of the plant,perform preventative maintenance work; conduct daily set-up of area; troubleshoot power transmission, pneumatics, & hydraulics; and limited welding, all while making safetyand food safety the number one priorities.

While performing the duties of a Maintenance or Electronics/Electrical worker, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list)

Principal Accountabilities

Perform repetitive or non-routine tasks. Examples include:

May operate heavy machinery (including forklift) or computer programs

Use a variety of tools and retrieve parts

Conduct daily set-up of area


Working around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity

Ensuring safety, food safety and quality

Cleanliness and housekeeping

Maintaining a safe working environment

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects

  • Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills

  • Previous experience in maintenance

  • Previous Cargill experience

  • Work history in the past 12 months
