Job Purpose and Impact

The Capital Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and monitor internal projects from initiation through completion. In this role you will coordinate and direct activities of fixed duration to ensure that the goals or objectives are accomplished within the determined timeframe and budget. You will lead a team that executes routine complex projects to improve capacity utilization and quality and maintain high performance standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor project progress, assess issues, and recommend resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Implement and monitor methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards.

  • Review status of projects and budgets, coordinate schedules, and prepare status reports.

  • Lead the integration of contractor partners and equipment providing support to the plant force.

  • Partner with regional and global leadership to develop area leading practices.

  • Oversee the development of the operational related budget to track the area progress against the estimate.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Experience overseeing third party resources to deliver business results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of related tools, processes controls and area technology systems

  • Two years of supervisory experience

  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.

  • Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

  • Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Posting Details

The expected salary for this position is $ $100,000- $120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
