Position Purpose & Summary

Responsible of the management and development of the foreign customer portfolio of the Retail channel with the objectives of increasing its volume, turnover and margin.

This includes: the analysis of potential markets, the development of contacts through participation in the main trade fairs and targeted sales visits, the negotiation of sales contracts, the management of promotions and the identification of agents and distributors with whom to develop the activity.

Responsibility includes the administrative back office, the organization of goods shipments and the definition and control of payment conditions as well as the monitoring of the flow and the successful completion of orders.

The role reports to the Retail Sales Manager.

It does not require direct reporting but requires close and effective cooperation with the logistics, credit, and Custom Department teams. It also collaborates with product managers for possible product customizations and for input on the development of the product portfolio according to the needs of the customers and the market trends observed.

A deep understanding of customer needs and focus on business objectives is required.

Principal Accountabilities

45% Commercial Management

  • Relationship with the customer

  • Formulation of offers / correspondence management

  • Negotiation of sales contracts

  • Study and sending of periodic promotions to customers

  • Elaboration of sales lists and sending to customers

  • Elaboration of sales statistics and analysis of final accounts

  • Activation of agency reports and / or distribution agreements

  • Organization and participation in trade fairs in Italy and abroad

55% Sales Administration

  • Preparation of pro forma invoices

  • Transmission and supervision of warehouse orders

  • Preparation of the documentation necessary for exports: phyto-sanitary certificates, certificates of origin, free sale, labels, etc.

  • Contact with Local Veterinary Services, Health Fictilization Consortium, Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of obtaining the certificates necessary for the completion of orders

  • Organization of shipments in accordance with customer logistics and shippers.

  • Management of relations with Cargill's "Customs Department" for documentation relating to customs operations

  • Expired control / reminder of payments / management of Documentary Credits (CAD)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Previous commercial experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to understand customer needs and interact with the rest of the organization

  • Customer focus

  • Proactivity and negotiation skills to achieve sales targets

  • Knowledge of English and French and Italian languages

  • Good presentation skills, positive attitude and the ability to work in a result-oriented environment

  • Good organizational and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics / Scientific Sciences

  • Problem solving and flexibility
