Cargill Senior Account Manager (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf, Germany

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Account Manager for Food Solutions will sell a variety of company products, services and solutions, varying in complexity, across multiple lines of business. You will be selling current and new food solutions to important regional Accounts, in e.g. the chocolate confectionary, sweet dairy, biscuits & bakery market and materialize growth for the DACH region.

You will lead in account planning and participate in building sales plans and diversification strategies. You will grow and maintain the relationship with a defined group of existing and prospect customers to achieve company sales (volume and value) targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • With minimal mentorship, develop and execute client relation, retention, (growth) account plans and strategies for developing sustainable and profitable business with assigned accounts

  • With guidance and cross-functional support, quote for new business contracts, negotiate terms and conditions for the sale, to meet long and short term value and volume targets

  • Review and report on customer performance, business opportunities and market trends. Closely monitoring and managing contract positions, forecasts and contract conditions

  • Coordinate the use and access to resources (technical, FSQR, sustainability, product line management, pricing, risk, marketing, supply chain) to provide added services to accounts in scope

  • Participate and coordinate to resolve problems and ensuring customers receive high quality service according to their needs and priority

  • Traveling up to 30% of the time, to high extend within Germany

Qualifications

  • Master degree (business economics or food sciences is an advantage)

  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience

  • Ability to understand the B2B business models per product line and underlying commodity market dynamics in the food industry

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and in account management

  • Result driven, resilient and eager to learn

  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.

  • Fluent in German and English
