Position Purpose

Cargill Case Ready has an opportunity available for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, located in Calgary, Canada. This position is responsible for maintaining and providing a continuous record of all shipping and receiving in the case ready facility.

Principal Accountabilities

50% Verify and track order fulfillment with the use of Cargills internal software program ensuring the orders are complete with following the inventory available. Print off all invoices, manifests and BOL for each order and that the order is loaded prior to finalizing the load.

Working closely with the shipping supervisors, offering support and computer support with all shipping assignments. Communicating with carriers to ensure trailer are available and in the correct doors when required for loading or if there are issues with the trailers dropped.

Record keeping, ensuring all printed and electronic invoices, manifests and BOL are kept in an orderly fashion and kept up to date

Verify goods received (BOL or packing slip) and match to purchase order (Raw Material-RM, dry goods, supplies, R&M parts)

Verify scan process for RM into iPFS transmits properly

Verify invoice amounts, match purchase order amounts and get corrected if needed

Finalize RM PO’s in PFS once completed

Enter receiving’s for dry good manually into Prism against PO, ensuring accuracy for amounts entered against BOL or packing slip

Enter receiving’s for supplies and R&M parts manually into Maximo against PO, ensuring accuracy for amounts entered against BOL or packing slip

Verify inventory shipped vs. inventory being produced.

Match received loading sheets to orders and provide to dispatch.

Releasing orders to process gatekeepers, manifests and bills of lading.

30% Print RM labels as needed

Setup delivery appointments for all deliveries coming into the plant

Investigate receiving questions from suppliers for past due amounts

Investigate / make corrections for inaccuracies.

Prepare reports from data entered and distribute as required

10% Provide administrative support to various departments including correspondence and filing

Manage varied tasks with a focus on administrative process development and improvement

10% Other Administration work as required

Qualifications

Required

  • Highschool diploma

  • Must have basic mathematical and accounting skills.

  • Excellent computer and data entry skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.

  • Willingness and ability to manage varied tasks and initiate change.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and as a member of a team.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to balance a number of assignments and meet deadlines

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred

  • Grade 12 SAP training an asset

  • 2 or more year’s hands on experience

  • Computer: Word, Excel. Inventory, scan gun Knowledge, organization, communication skills

  • Reliable, honest, good speech, writing with good attention to detail.

  • Transportation experience
