Job Purpose and Impact

The Technical Sweet Application Specialist supports texturizing and sweetners business in developing the sweet activities, in close collaboration with the sweet application manager, the various product lines and technical account managers.

In this role, you will ensure application development, technical assistance, new product launches, communication and solve customer technical projects. You are responsible with the sweet application manager, that customer trends and needs are

translate into innovative and distinctive solutions, which could be existing products or new concepts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop solutions answering customer needs, by working with product lines, plants and quality team, customer facing team and PPD (product and process development)

  • Compile and analyze data for project updates and works with various internal and external stakeholders to test new products and technologies and make recommendations on sweet applications.

  • Participate to the sweet application growth ( manage project, define trials, participate to lab organization, visit customer, organize training, create documentation )

  • Identify and explore trends in the food services space and convert knowledge to product opportunities.

  • Manage projects / be involved in various projects, customer projects and internal long term projects

  • Solve complex product related questions and provides technical support via email, phone, or in person.

  • Perform research for product development to understand product properties

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Technical expertise on food ingredients, more specifically in hydrolloids

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to deliver technical information to nontechnical audience, Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective social and team interaction skills for external & internal connections

  • Flexibility, adaptability, ability to organize multiple priorities on dynamic schedule

  • Ambitious, creative , skilled in work planning and execution, seeking self-development and improvement

  • Technical expertise in sweet applications : R&D experience in product development, comfortable with technical laboratory and pilot activities
