Description

Advises, consults, provides strategic broad oversight governance and delivery support of services across multiple functional technology domain practice areas as well as strategic operational oversight for production facilities for multiple Complex Businesses. This includes Technology application management oversight, operational/reliability excellence, operational effectiveness, continuous improvement oversight; financial performance/capital effectiveness, budget and resource management as well as talent management.

Liaise, provide and seek guidance to/from Business/Function Operational Leadership and Plant Site members.

30% Reliability Excellence Governance (Develop, Align & Implement RE prectices & Programs)

  • Leads/aligns Reliability Excellence processes governance framework and ensures the reliability culture is foundational to operations. Enforces common reliability processes and metrics (i.e. focus on eliminating the root-cause of reliability problems, RE and PE deployments, etc.) to achieve targeted results from continuous improvement practices, and validates the importance of Reliability Excellence through key successes (scorecard and metrics control).

  • Leads/aligns Production Excellence processes governance framework and ensures the continuous improvement culture is foundational to operations. Enforces production excellence processes and metrics (i.e. focus on improving stability factor, Stable Operations and Process Operability and Control deployments, etc.) to achieve targeted results continuous improvement practices and validates the importance of Production Excellence through key successes (scorecard and metrics control).

  • Provides leadership and collaborates with the Continuous Improvement leadership team to ensure standards of training materials and CI practices are deployed in the META region.

  • Champions and leverages technology innovation by developing strategic operational plans and by overseen execution. Partners with Enterprise/Technology/Engineering organizations to identify emerging trends and translate into strategic long-medium term operational goals.

  • Responsible for aligning, deploying and executing Business wide reliability excellence vision, strategy as well as direct program administration for a complex Business. Leads and executes the deployment of leading RE practices, tools and processes controls for a complex Business to improve capacity utilization and quality standards realized through reliable operations.

  • Provides support to lead global/regional effort through Business Leadership/Business RE Leads and RE deployment teams (i.e. REPI) to drive tactical strategic execution of continuous improvement processes and procedures to install safe, reliable and sustainable plants, to deliver cost savings as well as to optimize total cost of ownership.

  • Assesses organization readiness and implements reliability processes policies and procedures. Manages and implements the decision making rights, framework structure and metrics (i.e. Leadership alignment, Score card, KRAs, PMP).

  • Strategic operational oversight for all production facilities for multiple complex businesses. Overall oversight and direct accountability for meeting Business plants overall standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.

  • Draws on advanced knowledge of the business operations to understand/support the manufacturing setting, business product/service life cycle, environmental, and sustainability impact, future growth considerations, as well as overall cost of ownership and long-term usability of assets.

  • Leads/influences stakeholder relationships to establish operational strategic direction, vision and governance of assignments as well as overall controls on standards and procedures.

  • Responsible for the development of regional operational strategies and tactics to execute enterprise and functional business plans strategy, vision and goals.

30% Operational Effectiveness / Continous Improvement

  • Partners with Business Functional Operational leadership/Business Plant management to develop preventive approaches for meeting efficiency standards, to recommend process improvements and to develop business case for improved operational effectiveness methods and leading practices.

  • Identifies gaps, opportunities and proposes solutions to address customer needs to improve connectivity/knowledge transfer and to support businesses medium/long-term strategic fit.

  • Directly oversees Business level execution of integrated RE processes by establishing continuous improvement practices and methodology (i.e. Kaizen, PISW, RCM).

  • Implements, monitors and maintains asset health strategy (i.e. asset criticality, maintenance strategies, health reporting), stabilization (i.e. cause mapping, 5S, 5 Whys) and operator care strategies (i.e. inspection routines, defect tagging, visual management, one point lessons) for a complex Business.

  • Establishes and implements compliance and audit governance. Enforces corporate benchmarking metrics and performance measurements. Ensures cost effective utilization and integrity of automated tools and technology.Sets

  • Business targets and goals to assess RE program business impact, and to track performance (i.e. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE); Total Maintenance Cost/RAV; Asset Health, Audit Compliance).

20% Best Preactices Application, Training & Support

  • Provides chanpionship for a culture that builds, operates and maintains plants that are operational sound, safe, and efficient.

  • Utilizes broad and deep business knowledge of RE principles and practices to partner with Business Operational / Functional / Business / Site leadership to develop and execute RE best practices philosophy, application and training methodologies. Leverages best practices and agreed approaches across multiple RE deployments waves, plants and enterprises.

  • Actively pursues and reinforces continuing education around leading RE practices and governs its application across a complex Business.

  • Works with HR to establish/implement a competency based learning and development program at the Business level.

  • Provides leadership for the design and oversight of execution of best practices governance framework. Prioritize, support and deploys best practices and assures proper implementation through direct reports and extensive network of SMEs.

  • Foresees and translates emerging Technology trends and determines appropriate relevancy and application. Represents Cargill in relevant external organizations (universities, R&D Industry forums, technology committees, etc.).

  • Oversees the deployment of appropriate technology solution considering overall safety standards, food safety, quality, capacity, reliability, environmental and costs constraints.

20% Gap Assessment / Solution Identification / Measurement

  • Champions and leverages strong business/customer partnership to ultimately influence strategic/systemic changes, bridge technology gaps and build a strategy to ensure consistent process standards across Cargill businesses. Champions and promotes long-term sustainability of process improvement and best practices.

  • Partners with Corporate Functional Operational/Enterprise/Group Leadership to develop long-term preventive approaches for improving/meeting efficiency standards, to recommend process improvement, and to develop business case for improved operational effectiveness methods and leading practices.

  • Provides strategic leadership to deploy corporate-wide performance targets and goals governance to assess solutions program effectiveness as well as overall business impact, and to track performance.

  • Provides strategic leadership, defines and establishes corporate-wide auditing and compliance governance.

  • Leverages extensive business and industry expertise to provide corporate guidelines and framework in the selection of appropriate technology solution considering overall safety standards, food safety, process safety management (PSM), quality, capacity, reliability, environmental, costs constraints and potential financial impacts.

  • Reports/communicates/shares findings with senior stakeholders including Group/Functional Operational Leadership Team, Technology, EHS, FSQR organizations, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Required

  • Bachelor Degree from a reputable university, preferably in engineering major.

  • About 15 years of experience in continuous food production operations (sugar, fructose, oil refinery etc) ; 8 years of managerial position experience

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal; able to comprehend and communicate technical knowledge)

  • Proven managerial and leadership skills,

  • Ability to understand Cost accounting, Commercial and Supply Chain principals

  • Having business acumen to challenge the status quo and should be able to create, search, new ideas, new technologies, new solutions and projects that have positive effect on P&L
